Party Bus Rental Prices. What Affects the Rates?
There are a lot of different things that party bus prices but the main ones are how long your rent for, the time of year, the day of the week, the occasion, and the size of the party bus you’re renting. You’ll likely pay somewhere between $140-$350+ per hour for the rental.
Rental Period
Most party bus companies charge hourly packages. The more time you rent, the more that you will pay. There is usually a minimum rental period as well at about 3 or 4 hours for rentals so keep that in mind. If you are renting for 8 hours or more you may be able to get a discounted per hour rate or what’s called a day rate. The best packages will depend on your exact trip details, but shoot to rent a 4-5 hour rental. This will give you enough time on the bus as well as minimize costs.
Time of Year
During slower times of the year (December, January, February and March), companies may offer discount party bus rates as this is the slower time of year. During the Spring and Fall (April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November) expect to pay the normal rates or a slightly higher one.
Day of the Week
Most rentals take place on Friday and Saturday. The higher demand on these dates mean that prices will be highest at these times. Sunday through Thursday (weekdays) are less popular and you can get better prices when you rent on one of these days.

It’s common practice for weddings to have price markups since the party bus company has to put in more work and preparation to make sure the event goes smoothly. Additionally, some events just see more demand than others meaning that less vehicles are available, raising the rates. Some examples are proms and homecomings. You’ll see high schools of 2,000+ students all try to rent a bus for the same date which makes the rates rise.

- Book during the offseason. Renting during the slow period (December-March) will be cheaper than during the busy season. If there is any flexibility for your event, try to book during the slow season.
- Book on the weekdays. If you book on Sunday-Thursday you can get the weekday rates and save more on your party bus rental.
